Finadyne 5% Oral Paste contains flunixin meglumine, an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) drug that is used to treat locomotor disorders (lameness) in horses. It is an anti-inflammatory, painkiller (pain relief), antipyretic (reduces fever) and is also anti-endotoxic. It works by preventing the body from synthesizing prostaglandins that ease pain and cause inflammatory processes and pyrogens (substances that cause fever). One spray offers a daily treatment for an average horse.
Finadyne 5% Oral Paste is used to relieve inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders in horses. Do not give horses that are hypersensitive to Flunixin or who have liver, heart or kidney problems or stomach ulcers. Wear gloves during application and avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Finadyne 5% Oral Paste is a potent anti-inflammatory pain relief medication that is commonly used for locomotive problems and joint injuries in horses. Finadyne also has anti-endotoxic and anti-fever properties so it can be used to help with other medical conditions and infections. Finadyne is usually given once daily for up to five days.
Pigs: For use as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of swine respiratory diseases.
Horses: The alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders. It can also be used for the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic in the horse.
Cattle: The control of acute inflammation associated with respiratory disease, it has also been shown to have some benefit in the treatment of experimental acute bovine pulmonary emphysema (Fog Fever). It can also be used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute mastitis.
