Tildren 500mg for Horses prescription drugs that help horses manage the symptoms of navicular syndrome. This degenerative condition usually causes pain in the heel of the front legs of the horse where the navicular bone is located. Horses can experience pain through changes in bones, tendons, ligaments, and bursa – joint structures that are filled with fluid. This pain can cause lameness, which can cause the horse to move abnormally by overcompensating the affected area. Tildren helps restore balance during bone remodeling, replacing old bone tissue with new tissue.
Do not use on horses with renal insufficiency or a history of kidney disease. Bisphosphonates are excreted by the kidneys; therefore, disorders that cause kidney damage can increase the plasma concentrations of bisphosphonates, leading to an increased risk of side effects. Do not use on horses with known hypersensitivity to disodium tiludronate or mannitol. NSAIDs must not be used simultaneously with Tildren. Concomitant use of NSAIDs in children may increase the risk of renal toxicity and acute renal failure. The safe use of children has not been evaluated in horses less than 4 years old. Bisphosphonates should not be used in pregnant or lactating mares or broodmares.
